Dr. Joseph E. Kimbrough

Founder & CEO, Game On Development Group, LLC
Youth Development Systems Architect | Leadership Strategist | Foster Care Practitioner

Dr. Joseph E. Kimbrough is a nationally recognized speaker, educator, and youth development strategist who designs structured, outcome-driven systems that transform the lives of teenage boys, caregivers, and organizations. As the Founder and CEO of Game On Development Group, LLC—formerly Sensible Business Consulting Group—he leads a comprehensive youth development platform focused on equipping young people, families, and institutions with practical tools that promote identity development, emotional regulation, accountability, and life readiness.

Formerly operating as Sensible Business Consulting Group, LLC, the organization builds on years of experience delivering educational programming, workforce development initiatives, curriculum design, and leadership training to schools, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community partners across the country. As the work evolved, so did the focus—leading to the creation of Game On Development Group as a next-generation platform designed to prepare young people to lead with purpose, discipline, and confidence.

Drawing from both professional expertise and lived experience in the foster care system, Dr. Kimbrough has dedicated over 20 years to developing practical, measurable solutions that address placement instability, behavioral challenges, and gaps in caregiver support. As a licensed Therapeutic Foster Parent, he brings real-world application to his work—ensuring that every model is not just theoretical, but structured, proven, and scalable.

He is the creator of the Game On Brotherhood Intervention, a 6-week structured development model designed to equip teenage boys with identity, emotional regulation, accountability, and future vision—while simultaneously strengthening caregivers and organizational systems. In addition, his organization has developed a year-long youth development curriculum that engages 9th through 12th grade students, fostering growth in comprehension, critical thinking, character development, and job readiness through a proven, goal-oriented, results-based process.

Known for his dynamic delivery, Dr. Kimbrough employs a high-energy “Edutainment” philosophy, integrating humor, real-life application, and engaging dialogue to reinforce key concepts and maximize retention across all training environments.

Dr. Kimbrough holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing and Engineering Management from Eastern Michigan University and completed his doctoral studies (Ed.D) in Leadership and Management at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a certified Executive Leadership Coach, bringing a unique blend of engineering precision, process improvement, and human development expertise to his work.

His professional background spans roles from College Professor to Senior Corporate Quality Director, where he led multimillion-dollar initiatives, developed high-performing teams, and implemented enterprise-wide systems that delivered measurable results. Today, he applies those same principles to youth development—positioning Game On as a structured system, not just a program.

A respected community leader, Dr. Kimbrough has served on several boards, including as Chair of Robichaud Academy of Engineering High School, and has held executive leadership roles focused on family empowerment and leadership development. His work has been featured in national media outlets including NBC, Radio One, and various publications.

Driven by purpose and fueled by experience, Dr. Kimbrough is building a national pipeline of development through Game On Development Group—equipping organizations, caregivers, and young men with the tools and structure needed to reduce disruptions, build stability, and develop future leaders.
